Netflix and... not chill ???

 The purpose of these messages, is to help you be successful and fulfil your dreams, I also add the links I am promoting in my signature, feel free to check them out, and start making money from using them, you will be glad you did.

You're binge-watching Netflix at 11 PM (we've all been there), and just as the episode ends, that bloody cliffhanger hits you like a brick wall.


"Just one more episode," you tell yourself. Three hours later, you're still watching, eyes burning, but you simply cannot switch off.


There's a psychology principle behind this madness. 


Back in 1927, this brilliant psychologist called Bluma Zeigarnik was sat in a restaurant, when she noticed something fascinating about the waiters.


The waiter who'd perfectly remembered your mate's ridiculously complicated order -

"I'll have the fish and chips, but can you do the chips crispy, not too much salt, and can I get the mushy peas on the side, not touching the fish, and..."

- would forget your ENTIRE table existed the moment you'd paid the bill.

Your brain holds onto unfinished business like a dog with a bone.


Most entrepreneurs tell complete stories. And they're boring as hell.


"I helped Sarah grow from 2 clients to 20 in 6 months. She increased her revenue by 300% using our system."


Yawn. Forgettable. Complete.


But what if Sarah's story went like this...


"I'm going to tell you about the client who went from sleeping on her sister's couch, to buying a 5-bedroom house in 6 months. But first, let me ask you something..."

Now their brain is stuck. They NEED to know what happened to the woman on the couch.

Your prospect's brain doesn't like unfinished stories. It creates what psychologists call "cognitive tension" (fancy term for "I'm going mental not knowing how this ends").

You know that moment when your partner says "We need to talk" then buggers off to make a cup of tea? Or when your mate starts with "You'll never believe what happened at work today..." then their phone rings?


That knot in your stomach? That's your brain literally unable to let go until the story is complete.


So instead of saying "Let me tell you about our process," try this:

"I'm going to show you exactly how we helped James make £47,000 in 90 days. But first, I need to understand something about your current situation..."


Watch what happens. The energy changes. They lean forward. They're hooked.

Let me tell you about Marcus (not his real name, obviously). He was making £3,000 a month, working 70-hour weeks, and his wife was about to leave him. Poor bloke was knackered, stressed, and probably surviving on instant coffee and regret.


Six months later, he was making £15,000 a month working 30 hours a week, and he took his wife to the Maldives for their 10th anniversary.


But there's a specific thing he did in week 3 that changed everything. And I think you might be in the exact same position he was back then.


Before I tell you what that was, can I ask - what's your current monthly revenue?


See what happened there? Your brain is demanding to know what Marcus did in week 3.

That's the psychology. Incomplete stories create urgency. Complete stories are forgettable.

Your prospect's brain is designed to seek completion. You're not tricking them - you're working with how their mind naturally functions.


Now you know why you stayed up until 2 AM watching Netflix last night. And why your prospects will hang on your every word when you leave them hanging on the edge of a story.

The difference between "I helped Sarah" and "I'm going to tell you about Sarah, but first..." is the difference between forgotten and unforgettable.

How To NO Your Way To A YES

 

Picture this: You're sat in a coffee shop (probably Costa, let's be honest), laptop open, palms slightly sweaty.

You've just finished explaining your brilliant business idea to someone who could change everything…

They're nodding, they seem interested, and then you go and ruin it all by asking the WORST possible question:

"So... are you ready to get started?"

And just like that, they're suddenly fascinated by their phone screen. "I'll need to think about it," they mumble, already mentally planning their escape route.

Sound familiar? (Please tell us it's not just us.)

Here's what's actually happening in their brain: You've just asked them to take a MASSIVE leap. To commit. To be responsible for a decision that might go tits up.

That's proper scary stuff ðŸ«£.

But saying "no"? That feels lovely and safe. Like staying in bed on a rainy Sunday. No commitment, no risk, no vulnerability.




So instead of fighting this (which never works anyway), why not work with it?

Instead of: "Are you ready to buy today?" (ugh, makes our skin crawl just typing it)

Try: "Is there anything stopping you from moving forward?"

See what happened there? You're not asking them to commit to anything. You're just asking what's in the way. Much less terrifying conversation to have.

OPTION #1:

AWFUL: "Do you want to sign up for our program?"

BRILLIANT: "Is there anything else you need to know before we go ahead with the order?"

OPTION #2:

AWFUL: "Are you excited to work together?"

BRILLIANT: "Can you see any reason why this isn't going to work for you?"

The second one's basically magic. (We're not even exaggerating.)

Next time you're in a situation where you need to ask for something (could be a sale, could be help, could be asking someone to coffee), flip your question.

Instead of asking them to say YES to something, ask if there's any reason they'd say NO.

Watch how the energy completely shifts.

And if you're still nervous about it (which, fair enough), remember this: the worst thing that happens is they actually tell you their real objection. Which means you can either address it or move on to someone who's a better fit.

Either way, YOU WIN.

Using Scarcity The Right Way

 There's no denying the fact scarcity works... the human brain simply values ‘limited availability’ more... whether it's real or not

The problem is: Internet Marketers are prone to exageration, (to put it nicely!) 

So these days every offer is on the clock... there's only 5 left (of digital products?) ... and the price is going to quadruple if you blink... Most of it is so tacky it's embarrassing!

But for all that, Scarcity is a primal trigger that works, and there are ways to use it ethically.

  • Don't Lie to  Your Customer. "Selling fast" beats fake "Only 3 left!"
  • Mean What You Say. Don't threaten a price rise unless you mean it. 
  • Use it to Highlight True Demand rather than manufacture pressure. 
  • Have a Genuine Reason to claim scarcity, or don't do it. Simple! 

Scarcity taps into fear of missing out (FOMO) which is an incredibly powerful emotion. So realistically, the genuine, low pressure demo of demand, will usually have a bigger impact than over-hyped, clearly faked claims. 

And the ultimate sweet spot... demonstrate True Demand with a real-time Social Proof app... (32 people viewing this page, Joe Bloggs from UK just purchased, etc... )
