Fact: 80% of affiliates see worse ROI when they start scaling their funnels.
If they aren't seeing results they just send more traffic.
If that doesn't work they look for other traffic sources.
Or they try more expensive traffic...
But few will ever stop to ask themselves what else might be contributing to their lack of results?
If that sounds at all familiar to you...
Here’s what to fix BEFORE You Start Scaling ANY Offer!
More Traffic Will Not Fix a Bad Offer
We've all been there. You see a new offer and you think it's great, so you sign up to promote and send a load of traffic... and nothing happens.
You can't understand why people aren't jumping at it, so you just send more traffic...
- You add more links and banners. You send more emails.
- Sometimes you blame the traffic and try a different source.
- Or you figure it must need 'premium traffic' so you buy some.
But all this is missing a fundamental tenent of marketing: Traffic only amplifies what’s already working.
I've fallen into this trap far too many times, so these days I have systems in place to protect me from myself! Whenever I find a new offer I really like and want to promote:
- I Create Tracking Links for Each Different Angle. I don't worry whether it's emails or banners or direct traffic, I focus on tracking the message because that's where the difference will be.
- I Send Bulk Traffic For An Initial Test. I use sites like TopDogsRotator or MindBlowingHits to send 10K hits to each angle of the offer to see if it gets any bites.
- If any convert I'll add them to my own rotators. These are better quality traffic and let me confirm the results before get more pro-active.
- If it's all still working, I'll send it to my own lists. I don't over-do this, but I'll test in on a smaller list. If the feedback is good (and the numbers add up) I'll send some more.
- It's it's a proven winner, I'll try some Solo Ads. Same story though, I'll start small, and I'll only ramp it up if the numbers stack up.
And to be totally honest, most offers don't make it to the final stage. And those that do usually have a shelf-life. So it's important to keep testing... and keep finding great new offers!
So keep an eye on the TQ Solo Ads for possible offers for your audience... and make sure you have your own testing process so you never find yourself throwing good traffic at a bad offer.
